ELY - Elysium

Elysium is a striking modern desert estate set on five acres in the hills of Yucca Valley, designed for groups who want their getaway to feel like a private resort. With dramatic architecture, expansive indoor-outdoor living, and four beautifully appointed king suites, this is a home where staying in is every bit as appealing as exploring Joshua Tree.

From the moment you enter, Elysium makes an impression. Soaring wood ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, and sculptural architecture frame an extraordinary sweep of desert mountains. The interiors are sophisticated yet inviting, with soft curved furnishings, warm neutrals, dark architectural accents, and thoughtful touches of gold. Expansive sliding doors connect the living spaces to the pool terrace, creating an effortless flow between lounging indoors and enjoying the desert outside.

Designed to accommodate up to eight guests, the home balances generous communal spaces with the comfort of four private king suites. -Outdoor Amenities-
The outdoor spaces are the centerpiece of Elysium. A striking geometric pool wraps along the home's contemporary architecture, with water reflecting the surrounding mountains and open desert sky. Settle into a lounger for an afternoon in the sun, slip into the adjoining in-ground hot tub, or retreat to a shaded seating area with a drink and a view. The surrounding landscape gives the pool terrace an expansive, open-air feeling, with the hills of Yucca Valley stretching into the distance.

When it's time to gather, the covered outdoor dining area accommodates ten beneath a wood ceiling with overhead skylights. Prepare lunch on the propane BBQ, linger over dinner as the temperature cools, or settle into one of the hanging chairs for a quieter moment.

Beyond the pool terrace, the pickleball court gives your group a reason to get moving. Play a few rounds before dinner, then take a seat around the nearby gas fire pit as the last light fades from the mountains. With five acres to enjoy, the property offers plenty of opportunities to appreciate the changing desert landscape throughout the day.

-Living Area-
The living room feels like the social heart of a contemporary retreat. A dramatic wood-paneled ceiling rises above curved cream and blush seating, while a long linear fireplace anchors the room with warmth and understated elegance. A wall of sliding glass reveals the pool and surrounding mountains, making the landscape part of the interior experience.

In the afternoon, sunlight fills the room and the doors can open to the terrace. In the evening, gather around the fireplace for conversation or settle in for a movie on the large smart TV. The furnishings are arranged to encourage time together, with generous seating and an open connection to the kitchen and dining spaces.

A dedicated workspace also provides a comfortable place to catch up on anything that can't wait until you're home.

-Kitchen and Dining-
Meals at Elysium can be as relaxed or elaborate as you choose. The spacious contemporary kitchen features sleek cabinetry, a professional-style range, an oversized stone island, and striking circular pendant lighting. A wine fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and fully stocked kitchen essentials make it easy to prepare everything from a leisurely breakfast to dinner for the whole group.

The island provides plenty of space for preparing food together while others gather nearby. Just beyond, a round dining table sits beneath a sculptural gold chandelier, surrounded by soft upholstered chairs and framed by the home's modern architecture.

For larger meals, take advantage of the covered outdoor dining table for ten. With the BBQ close at hand and the desert landscape beyond, dinner can easily become the evening's main event.

-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Elysium features four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with a king bed and its own ensuite bathroom. Large windows or glass doors bring the surrounding desert scenery into the sleeping spaces, while the home's restrained palette and comfortable furnishings create a calm contrast to the activity of the shared living areas.

The primary suite is particularly special. A plush king bed, comfortable seating, and expansive glass doors create an airy retreat with sweeping views. Its striking bathroom is finished in dramatic dark stone and features a freestanding black soaking tub, an oversized walk-in shower, and contemporary fixtures. It's a space worth setting aside time to enjoy, especially after a full day outdoors.

The three additional king suites offer similarly comfortable accommodations, each with its own private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and modern finishes. With four equally generous bed sizes and no shared full bathrooms, the layout is especially well suited to couples traveling together or friends who appreciate having their own space.

A convenient half bathroom off the living area brings the total to four full bathrooms and one half bathroom.

-Game Room-
For a change of pace, head to the dedicated game room, thoughtfully converted from the home's garage into a separate entertainment space.

Challenge your friends to a game of pool, organize a ping pong tournament, or settle into the lounge seating with a movie on the smart TV. Large glass garage doors bring natural light into the room, while its separation from the main living areas gives the group another place to gather and spread out.

Whether you're filling an afternoon between swims or extending a friendly rivalry into the evening, it's one more reason you may find yourselves spending more time at Elysium than you originally planned.

-Surrounding Area-
