We've worked hard to curate a cozy and colorful stay that is quirky and creative! Built in the year 1978, our home features mid-century modern flavors such as a sunken conversation-style living room, which greets you as you walk through the door. The front of the home features an open floor plan with ample window space overlooking our little mountain neighborhood in the Joshua tree-filled foothills of Country Club Estates of Yucca Valley.

The well-stocked kitchen allows you to cook all of your delightful desert dishes! We should have most of what you need for crafting home-cooked meals or drinks, with a selection of spices and a small sample of coffee, creamers, and sugars if you'd like to sip and overlook the golf course with a peek-a-boo view from the dining room. Some mornings you can even hear them making announcements!

Rather be outside? Enjoy grilling on the propane BBQ grill by the pool!

The indoor dining room offers a table that seats six but is open to the kitchen and living room with additional seating. The al fresco poolside table seats five with some additional loungers.

Our sprawling home offers many other places to explore! In addition to our main living room with two couches, there's an open den with a futon and a little private book nook with a twin bed. Close the curtains to sneak away for a moment to hide here for some cozy reading.

We live in the foothills, though still residential, and love that we are next to such a vast and wild space. As such, please be aware of the wildlife in the area. Close doors behind you to keep our desert critters out. This is very important as otherwise, they might come in for a visit! We do regular abatement around the house, but keep in mind they do occasionally slip in if doors are left open, which we cannot control 100% of the time. Keeping doors closed behind you helps to avoid these extra unwanted guests inside. Since we are so close to open wild land, it is normal to see different bugs, desert tortoises, lizards, snakes, road runners, quail, jackrabbits, desert rats, field mice, coyotes, and many other animals. Being next to a water source, we truly are a desert oasis! Please check around cars and bins for animals before moving, and be aware that animals may come through the area during your stay. Our mid-century modern pool is original to our home~We have a wildlife floatie at the edge of the pool to help avoid wildlife that falls in escape and avoid drowning- please leave in place. As it is an outdoor pool, expect twigs, leaves, dust, bugs, etc to be normal. We provide a net for touch-up cleaning if needed. Pool and spa are professionally chemically balanced and cleaned every Tuesday around noon by licensed company. Ya upp

Our home is conveniently located a short drive from many restaurants and businesses, as well as The Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneertown. Public transit is within walking distance, but is limited in the area. Although Uber and Lyft do exist out here, it is best to plan to travel in the area with a vehicle.

YUCCA VALLEY QUIET HOURS:
As per Yucca Valley:
NO speakers outside from 9PM to 8AM.
If the neighbors can hear your music AT ALL, AT ANY HOURS, it is considered in violation of the noise ordinance.

ZERO TOLERANCE FOR FIREWORKS- We are in a high fire danger zone and the sheriff is immediately notified of any firework activity and will show up - citation for possession is $1250 (any type considered illegal in area)

Please be respectful of the home and our neighbors. We love our neighbors and we want them to love us too. Because of this, we take noise very seriously. This is a quiet neighborhood ideal for a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Please bear in mind that noise travels far and easily in the open desert. If we receive a noise complaint, local management will be notified and guests will be evicted upon a second noise complaint with no refunds. Additional rental agreement required for any stay over 28 days. Any issues with the home should be communicated immediately. Any refund for issues with amenities will be limited to 20%. No refunds will be granted if we are not allowed to access the property to remedy the issues.

SAFETY NOTES:
No diving, running, or glass near the pool. Depth is 3-6 feet. Traveling with children? There are door and window sensors that can and should be
turned on during your stay. Please use an abundance of caution around the pool, and know
that you are responsible for water safety with your children. *No glass by the pool. Guests will be charged to drain the pool to remove broken glass.

POOL:
Please understand we are in the desert - dirt, twigs, bugs, and leaves are normal in the pool. The skimmer is located next to the pool for your convenience.

POOL SERVICE:
A pool cleaning service comes weekly on Tuesdays around noon to balance chemicals and clean the pool and spa. Access must be allowed to guarantee a safe pool environment.

POOL HEATING:
Pool heating is not usually necessary from May through September.

Please let us know if you'd like the pool heated to 82 degrees, please notify us at least 24 hours before your arrival to bring the pool to temperature. There will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs. For multiple day heating needs to be consecutive since heating requires a bit of time.

No fee to heat the hot tub!

PETS:
All furry guests must be noted in the reservation!

We're happy to welcome dogs to our home! It is a $95 fee per dog, per reservation, limit 2 dogs, and must be disclosed at the time of booking. Let us know if your furry friends will be joining you and we will make the necessary adjustments. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. We are currently unable to accommodate kitties or other furry friends.

FIREPLACES:
Our indoor fireplaces are currently undergoing repairs and are unavailable for guest use due to insurance reasons - thank you for your understanding!

TRASH:
Services come early Wednesday morning. If you are here during the week overnight on a Tuesday, please roll the bins to the street curb for service. Please do not let bins/garbage accumulate in the house during your stay as it can entice wildlife to visit.

CLEANING FEE:
100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners stocking cleaning supplies.

Please note that two closets, one in the hallway and one in the back of the house near the master bedroom, as well as a locked outdoor utility closet, are locked and contain maintenance supplies and are not accessible to guests.

WILDLIFE:
We are in the desert foothills near water. We do regular abatement to keep the wildlife where they belong- in the wild. Please close all doors behind you to keep critters out. Understand that while we do our best to keep these little unregistered desert guests out, they do occasionally slip by. Our pool is also exposed and we have a wildlife rescue ramp to do our best to save any critters that fall in- please leave the frog shaped floatie in place. Please check under cars and bins before moving for desert tortoises and lizards. Welcome to the desert~ Happy wildlife watching!

ACCESS:
We provide a digital lock code specific to your reservation information and dates for your convenience, which will be automatically active during your stay. We do have a physical key just in case- shoot us a message if you end up needing it for any reason.

RESERVATIONS:
All guests must be noted and added to the reservation.

Damage Waiver Policy: Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver

Late Check Out
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
