Welcome to Casa Dorado, a bright, newly remodeled five-bedroom desert retreat set on five private acres in Yucca Mesa. Spend sunlit days beside the expansive pool, unwind in the hot tub and infrared sauna, then gather around the fire beneath wide-open skies. With generous indoor and outdoor spaces, it is an easygoing escape for families and friends.

Casa Dorado pairs playful desert style with the space and comfort needed for a memorable group getaway. The 2,120-square-foot home feels bright, open and welcoming, with custom finishes, abundant natural light and an easy indoor-outdoor flow.

The heart of the property is its impressive backyard, where a sprawling swimming pool, hot tub, infrared sauna and fire pit create a private desert playground. Inside, five bedrooms, a spacious living area, a well-equipped kitchen and a separate pool house give everyone room to gather, relax and recharge.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The outdoor spaces at Casa Dorado were made for long desert days and evenings under the stars. The centerpiece is the expansive private swimming pool, surrounded by open views of the desert and Little San Bernardino Mountains. Please note that the pool is not heated.

After a swim, settle into the hot tub or recharge in the infrared sauna. A large covered outdoor area offers welcome shade and plenty of room for group meals, games and relaxed afternoons. Guests can also enjoy a propane BBQ, outdoor dining for 10 to 12, comfortable seating and a fire pit for gathering after sunset.

The home sits on five private acres, offering ample space to slow down and appreciate the quiet Yucca Mesa landscape. Desert weather can be windy, so umbrellas and other outdoor accessories must always be closed when they are not being used and whenever winds begin to pick up.

-Living Area-
The bright, open-concept living area creates a comfortable central space for the entire group. Two sofas provide plenty of room to relax after a day in Joshua Tree National Park, while the adjoining kitchen and dining area make it easy to spend time together without feeling crowded.

The separate game room and pool house adds another hangout space with a smart TV, foosball table, hanging chairs and a queen sleeper sofa. Because it has its own exterior entrance, it also works well for guests who appreciate a little extra privacy.

-Kitchen & Dining-
The modern kitchen is designed for casual group meals and easy vacation cooking. It includes a cooktop, large air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, Samsung Bespoke refrigerator, coffee maker, cookware, dishes and utensils. A generous butcher-block work surface provides plenty of room for preparing meals together.

Please note that the kitchen does not currently have a conventional oven. The cooktop, large air fryer and microwave are available for cooking.

The indoor dining table seats six, while the covered outdoor dining area accommodates 10 to 12 guests beside the BBQ. From morning coffee in the desert light to dinner beneath the evening sky, there are inviting places to gather throughout the property.

-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-
Casa Dorado sleeps up to 12 guests across five bedrooms. Three bedrooms feature king beds, including the primary suite with its distinctive custom hanging king bed and private ensuite bathroom with a shower. The fourth bedroom is designed for groups and families with two bunk beds, providing four twin beds in total. The fifth bedroom is located in the detached pool house and features a queen sleeper sofa and its own exterior entrance.

The home has two full bathrooms, including the primary ensuite. Fresh linens, towels, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, hangers and hair dryers are provided for your stay.

-Surrounding Area-
Casa Dorado is located in Yucca Mesa, where quiet acreage properties and open desert views create a peaceful setting away from the busier areas of town. The location offers convenient access to Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Pioneertown, Flamingo Heights and Landers.

Spend the day hiking among dramatic rock formations and ancient Joshua trees in Joshua Tree National Park, browse vintage shops and locally owned restaurants in Old Town Yucca Valley, or explore the galleries, cafés and creative energy of downtown Joshua Tree. Pioneertown offers Old West history, live music and iconic desert dining, while nearby Landers is home to the Integratron and its celebrated sound bath experience.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

Please note that the last 0.2 miles will be on a dirt road. While the road is maintained and all vehicles can drive on the dirt road (4-wheel drive is not necessary), please take it slow to respect our neighbors and not kick up dust. Please note that the dirt roads may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.

-Community Rules-
Casa Dorado is surrounded by permanent and seasonal residents who value the area’s peaceful environment. Loud music, disruptive gatherings, parties and vehicles parked in front of neighboring homes or driveways are prohibited and will not be tolerated. Please note that quiet hours are 9pm - 8am - no music is allowed during this time.

-Guest Count-
The number of guests on the reservation must be accurate at check-in. Groups of more than 10 guests require advance approval and are subject to an additional nightly fee for each guest over 10, up to the property’s maximum permitted occupancy.

-Kitchen Disclosure-
The kitchen currently has a cooktop, large air fryer and microwave, but it does not have a conventional oven.

-Bedroom 5-
The fifth bedroom is located in the pool house and has a separate exterior entrance. It is not accessed from inside the main house.

-Desert Wind-
Yucca Mesa can experience strong winds. Umbrellas and other movable outdoor accessories must be closed whenever they are not in use and during windy conditions. Guests may be responsible for damage caused by accessories left open in the wind.

-Pool Is Not Heated-
The swimming pool is not heated. Water temperature will vary with the season and outdoor weather conditions.

-Pool Safety-
Children must be supervised closely at all times while outdoors and must never be left unattended in or around the swimming pool or hot tub. Guests use the pool, hot tub and sauna at their own risk.

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The pool and hot tub are serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

-Pet Policy-
We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $1000. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either security deposit or a damage waiver.

-Late Check Out-
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
