An outdoor kitchen with a propane BBQ, large prep island, and refrigerator makes entertaining effortless, while the private courtyard features a built-in propane fire pit surrounded by comfortable seating for evenings beneath the stars.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the spacious dining area comfortably accommodates everyone for shared meals, while the outdoor dining table provides the perfect setting for al fresco dinners surrounded by desert views.

The outdoor kitchen, complete with propane BBQ, refrigerator, and prep space, makes grilling and entertaining just as enjoyable outside as it is indoors.

For groups of up to 10 guests, a queen air mattress and bedding are provided for two additional guests.

Downtown Joshua Tree is filled with locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, boutiques, and live music, while nearby Pioneertown offers one of the area's most iconic destinations at Pappy & Harriet's.

Whether you're visiting for adventure, wellness, photography, or simply to slow down and reconnect, Timber House places you close to everything while still feeling wonderfully secluded.

The entire home and property are yours to enjoy during your stay. Please note that the garage and one owner’s supply closet are locked and inaccessible to guests.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area, as rideshare services are not guaranteed.

-Pool Heating-
Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85°F, please notify us at least 24 hours before your arrival. Pool heating is available for an additional nightly fee of $300 per day due to the high fuel costs in the area. If requesting multiple days of heating, the days must be consecutive.

During the winter months, colder outdoor temperatures may cause the water to feel cooler than its maintained temperature. Please ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before requesting pool heating, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis.

-Hot Tub-
There is no fee to heat the spa. To conserve energy, the in-ground hot tub is not heated continuously and typically takes approximately 30 minutes to reach 104°F from ambient temperature. We kindly ask that guests turn the spa off when not in use.

-Pool & Spa Service-
The pool and spa are serviced twice weekly between approximately 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Service times may vary slightly depending on the technician’s route.

-Additional Guests-
The home comfortably sleeps eight guests in beds. Reservations with more than eight guests will incur an additional fee of $35 per person, per night for the ninth and tenth guests. This fee goes directly toward additional cleaning and laundry services.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Cameras-
Exterior security cameras are located around the exterior of the property and monitor vehicle access and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing private outdoor areas, including the pool and spa.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.

-Late Check Out-
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
