POCO - Poco Cielo

Poco Cielo is a modern desert retreat designed for slow living, cozy nights and effortless indoor-outdoor connection, with distant mountain views of Joshua Tree National Park. Tucked behind a private fenced backyard filled with immersive outdoor spaces, the home offers a peaceful escape where mornings feel unhurried and evenings are best spent beneath the stars.

Poco Cielo blends modern desert design with warm earthy textures, creating a space that feels both elevated and inviting. Neutral tones, natural wood accents, rattan details and layered textures soften the sleek architectural lines throughout the home, giving each space a calm and grounded atmosphere.

Natural light fills the interiors through expansive glass doors and oversized windows, while the open layout creates an easy flow between the living spaces, kitchen and outdoor areas. Throughout the home, glimpses of the surrounding desert and distant mountain views of Joshua Tree National Park create a constant connection to the landscape beyond. Every area of the home was intentionally designed to encourage slowing down, reconnecting and fully embracing the beauty and stillness of the high desert.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The outdoor spaces were designed to feel playful, relaxing and deeply connected to the surrounding desert landscape. The fenced backyard offers privacy and multiple gathering areas, with open views stretching toward the mountains of Joshua Tree National Park in the distance.

Guests can unwind in the 8-foot cowboy pool, soak in the above-ground hot tub, reset in the sauna or cold plunge or stretch out on the outdoor stargazing bed beneath open desert skies. Just outside the living room, large sliding doors fully open to blend the indoors with the outdoors, leading directly to a cozy fire pit lounge with cushioned seating and chairs arranged around the fire.

Toward the back of the property, a second fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs creates another quiet place to gather beneath the stars. Hanging chairs suspended beneath the pergola create a relaxing lounge area complete with an outdoor movie projector setup and additional seating for evenings spent outside.

The home also features two separate outdoor dining spaces. One is located within the fenced backyard near the BBQ and Blackstone flat top grill, while the second sits tucked away down a small trail beside the home, offering a more secluded dining experience beneath the desert sky. Guests can use the lanterns provided to light the pathway for intimate dinners while taking in the peaceful desert surroundings and mountain silhouettes in the distance.

-Living Area-
The living room feels bright, welcoming and intentionally designed for comfort. Large sliding glass doors open fully to the backyard, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor living spaces while allowing natural light to pour throughout the home.

Two comfortable couches anchor the space, including one that folds out into an additional bed for extra guests or cozy movie nights. The room is layered with warm neutral tones, earthy textures and modern accents that create a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere.

A record player, board games and thoughtfully curated decor add personality to the space, while a cozy reading chair tucked into the corner creates the perfect nook for slow mornings, quiet afternoons or winding down after a day exploring Joshua Tree nearby.

-Kitchen & Dining-
The kitchen combines sleek modern finishes with warm gathering spaces designed for cooking, entertaining and connection. Black cabinetry with gold accent hardware creates a bold contrast against the softer earthy tones found throughout the rest of the home, while the large island with barstool seating serves as the centerpiece of the space.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking at home, including modern appliances, cookware, serving pieces and extras like an air fryer for more relaxed meals during your stay. The stone countertops add an elevated feel while still maintaining the warmth and functionality of the home’s overall design.

The open concept layout allows the kitchen and dining areas to flow naturally into the living room and outdoor spaces, making the home ideal for group meals, casual breakfasts and evenings spent cooking together before gathering outside around the fire pits or projector beneath the desert sky.

-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-
Poco Cielo features two thoughtfully designed king bedrooms that feel calm, airy and restorative. Soft neutral tones, layered earthy textures, natural wood finishes and rattan accents create a warm minimalist atmosphere throughout each room. Large windows allow natural light to filter in while offering soft desert light and peaceful views of the surrounding landscape.

Both bathrooms feature walk-in showers with modern finishes and clean, spa-inspired design. The bathrooms continue the home’s earthy modern aesthetic with warm textures, sleek fixtures and calming tones that create a relaxed retreat-like feel.

The home’s layout allows for both shared gathering and quiet privacy, making it ideal for couples, small groups or friends traveling together.

Poco Cielo also features a separate garage game room designed for relaxed evenings, movie nights and group hangouts after a day exploring the desert. The space offers a more playful atmosphere while still carrying through the home’s modern desert aesthetic. Guests can enjoy a pool table, arcade game and oversized Connect 4, along with a comfortable couch, Smart TV and high-top table that create the perfect setup for games, drinks and late-night conversations. Whether you’re spending time with friends, entertaining the family or simply looking for another cozy place to unwind, the game room adds an additional layer of entertainment and gathering space to the experience.

Located in Joshua Tree, Poco Cielo offers a peaceful desert setting with beautiful mountain views of Joshua Tree National Park visible off in the distance. The home is just a short drive from the park, making it easy to spend your days hiking, rock climbing, sightseeing and exploring some of the desert’s most iconic landscapes.

The surrounding high desert is known for its expansive open skies, dramatic scenery and creative energy, with nearby towns offering local cafes, vintage shops, art galleries and live music venues. Whether you spend your time exploring the park or relaxing back at the property beneath the stars, the area naturally encourages a slower pace and deeper connection with nature.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

• Please note that our next-door neighbor is currently building a home. Construction activity and noise may be heard during permitted local working hours (typically daytime on weekdays). Evenings and nights remain quiet. We want to ensure complete transparency so you know what to expect during your stay

-Hot Tub-
No fee to heat the hot tub!

-Cowboy Tub Availability-
The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.

-Cowboy Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The cowboy pool and hot tub are serviced Monday & Thursday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

-Pet Policy-
We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $1000. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Cameras-
There is an exterior camera next to the front door monitoring the front entry as well as one exterior of the property for security and occupancy verification purposes. There are no cameras facing interior spaces or private areas such as the pool.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver

-Late Check Out-
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
