Roadrunner Ridge is a lovingly family-owned, Spanish-style modern retreat tucked peacefully among dramatic boulders at the end of the road in its own rocky cove, nestled against 1,000+ acres of undeveloped protected public land. Set on 5 private acres with sweeping desert and mountain views, you can soak in your own private saltwater pool and spa while soaking in the changing light against the dramatic desert boulders.

Blending Spanish-style charm with modern luxury, the home features clean lines, natural textures, and a calming, airy atmosphere. Expansive windows throughout flood the space with natural light and frame stunning views in every direction. Solar panels paired with LG batteries make the property highly eco-friendly while also providing reliable backup power in the event of an outage. Thoughtfully designed for connection and comfort, it’s an ideal setting for family time, relaxation, and exploring the walking trails woven through the property.

-Outdoor Amenities-
Step outside into a private desert sanctuary set across 5 open acres. The in-ground saltwater pool and spa overlook striking mountain and boulder views, creating a peaceful place to unwind beneath wide desert skies. A hammock on the patio invites afternoon naps, while multiple seating areas, including a propane fire pit lounge and outdoor dining space, offer room to gather, share meals, and enjoy the landscape. A dedicated yoga area with provided mats creates space for mindful movement, while a cornhole set adds a fun, casual way to spend time together outdoors. With trails throughout the property, natural boulder formations, and incredible stargazing at night, the outdoor experience is both grounding and unforgettable. Sunsets here are especially magical, followed by crisp evenings under Joshua Tree's famous starry skies.

-Living Area-
The living space is open, bright, and designed for connection, flowing seamlessly into the dining area and kitchen. Large windows showcase panoramic views in every direction, bringing the outdoors in. The atmosphere is cozy yet spacious, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring or enjoying a movie night on the TV. Spanish-influenced décor and a comfortable leather sofa create a warm, lived-in feel that feels more like home than a rental. For additional sleeping space, a Koala sofa bed opens up to a queen bed.

-Kitchen & Dining-
The kitchen is modern, fully equipped, and truly stocked with everything needed for cooking and gathering. Generous counter space and a welcoming layout make it ideal for preparing meals together. It opens directly to the main dining area, with an additional dining space on the side of the home for added flexibility. Whether it’s casual breakfasts at the breakfast bar, shared dinners indoors, or al fresco meals outside with the BBQ, the space is designed to bring people together.

-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-
The home features three thoughtfully designed bedrooms, including one king and two queen beds. The primary suite is spacious and serene, with an ensuite bathroom and views facing the backyard. The two additional en-suite bedrooms are comfortable and inviting, both with remodeled bathrooms. One of these bathrooms can be converted to a Jack and Jill style for a family friendly set up, if desired. All bathrooms have been newly renovated with modern finishes and relaxing, high-quality showers, offering a spa-like feel.

Located near Joshua Tree, the area offers a unique blend of natural beauty and creative energy. Guests can explore Joshua Tree National Park, known for its otherworldly rock formations, iconic desert landscapes, and scenic hiking trails. The nearby town has an eclectic, artistic vibe with local cafes, boutiques, and markets, while the surrounding desert provides opportunities for stargazing, wellness experiences, and outdoor adventure. The landscape feels vast and grounding, with sweeping desert views, rugged mountains, and a sense of peaceful seclusion.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that there are a few supply closets that are locked that house supplies for the rental. There is also an Airstream trailer onsite owned by the family, it is vacant and locked.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

Please note that the house is in a remote location, and the last 1.4 miles to the home are dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.

-Pool Heating Fee-
If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September.

No fee to heat the hot tub!

-Pool Heating-
Only one of the pool or hot tub can be heated at once. If you wish to use the hot tub while the pool is heating, just note that the pool heating will turn off while the hot tub heats. Once the hot tub is turned back off, the pool heating will resume.

-Hot Tub Heating-
Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature.

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The pool and hot tub are serviced Wednesdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

-Dark Sky & Neighborhood Courtesy-
Roadrunner Ridge is located within a designated dark sky zone, offering exceptional stargazing right from the property. To help preserve the clarity of the night sky, we kindly ask that guests turn off outdoor patio lights when not in use. Flashlights are available in the kitchen drawer for your convenience. Out of courtesy to our neighbors and to maintain the peaceful nature of the area, please limit driving speed to 20 mph at all times.

-Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Camera-
There are two security cameras facing the driveway for security and in order to monitor the quantity of people and cars on the property, and a third camera that faces the locked trailer and path to the shed, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. There are no security cameras inside or facing any private areas of the home, such as the pool and spa area.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver

-Late Check Out-
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
