Desert Haus is a newly built modern retreat designed with elevated luxury and top-of-the-line appliances, offering expansive mountain views from a quiet neighborhood setting. Wake to sunlit mornings by the pool and unwind beneath open desert skies, where every detail invites rest, connection and a slower, more intentional pace.

Desert Haus blends clean modern lines with warm, natural textures to create a space that feels both refined and grounded. Wood paneling in the bedrooms adds depth and richness, while smooth concrete floors and curated finishes keep the aesthetic minimal and cohesive. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors draw the outdoors in, filling the home with natural light from sunrise in the backyard to golden sunsets at the front bistro seating. The overall atmosphere is bright yet intimate, with moments of moodiness in the darker-toned bathrooms and bedrooms. This is a space designed for slowing down, whether you are reconnecting with friends, enjoying quiet mornings or settling into peaceful evenings.

• Outdoor Amenities -
  The outdoor space is designed to take full advantage of the desert landscape and expansive mountain views. A private in-ground pool and spa anchor the backyard, surrounded by sculptural loungers that invite long afternoons in the sun. Just beyond, a fire pit lounge with a sofa and chairs creates a natural gathering space for evenings under the stars. A large outdoor dining table offers the perfect setting for shared meals, complemented by a BBQ for easy cooking. The yard is partially fenced, maintaining privacy while still embracing the openness of the desert. In the front of the home, a small bistro set catches the sunset light, offering a quieter moment to take in the shifting sky. Clear nights bring incredible stargazing, while breezy desert evenings make the outdoor spaces feel comfortable year-round.

• Living Area -
  The living area is open and inviting, with a layout that feels both connected and relaxed. Large sliding glass doors frame distant views of Joshua Tree National Park, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. A leather sofa anchors the space, paired with two cozy lounge chairs that are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Each bathroom continues the modern aesthetic with walk-in showers and double vanities that provide both function and style.   Desert Haus is ideally located to experience the best of Joshua Tree while still feeling tucked away in a peaceful setting. Just minutes from town, you are close to everything while still enjoying the quiet of the desert. The surrounding area is known for its creative, laid-back energy with local cafes, small boutiques and artisan shops scattered throughout town. Mornings can start with coffee and a market stroll, while afternoons are perfect for hiking among iconic rock formations and desert landscapes inside the national park. The region offers a mix of outdoor adventure and slower, wellness-focused experiences, from scenic drives and guided tours to horseback riding and quiet moments in nature. The landscape itself feels vast and grounding, with open skies, rugged mountains and a sense of stillness that makes it easy to fully unwind.

The entire property is yours to enjoy! Please note that the 2 lockers in the laundry room and the outdoor storage bin on the north side of the home are being used for storage for supplies for the rental that is locked to guests.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

-Pool Heating Fee-
If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September.

No fee to heat the hot tub!

-Pool Heating-
Only one of the pool or hot tub can heat at once. If you wish to use the hot tub while the pool is heating, just note that the pool heating will turn off while the hot tub heats. Once the hot tub is turned back off, the pool heating will resume.

-Hot Tub Heating-
Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature.

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The pool and hot tub are serviced Tuesday and Friday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

-Dogs-
Desert Haus welcomes your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Cameras-
There is a security camera located on the far left post of the carport, facing the driveway to monitor the quantity of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances and for insurance and liability purposes. It is located on the far left post on the carport. These cameras are not monitored unless an event like a party or injury occurs. There are no security cameras inside or facing any private areas of the home, such as the pool area.

-Late Check Out-
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver
