✦ PLEASE NOTE - Loma Vista sits in a remote and secluded setting, and we think that's exactly what makes it so private and unique. Getting here means driving roughly three miles down a dirt road, so we ask that you keep this in mind before booking. While the road is maintained and all vehicles can drive on the dirt road (4-wheel drive is not necessary), please take it slow to respect our neighbors and not kick up dust. Please note that the dirt roads may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.

The backyard is where Loma Vista truly shines. The heated pool with its Baja ledge and in-pool loungers looks out over open desert and distant mountain views, with the hot tub just steps away for evenings that call for something warmer. Please note that pool heating is available for a supplemental daily fee to offset propane costs, while the hot tub is heated for guests at no charge throughout the stay. A shaded patio with lounge seating and a dining table invites long, easy meals outdoors, and the outdoor bar area makes it simple to keep the good times going after the sun goes down. When the sun sets, the portable projector and outdoor screen turn the patio into a movie night under the stars, a favorite way to wind down after a day of exploring. As night falls, the cabana becomes the best seat in the house for stargazing, the fire pit is ready for s'mores, and the hammocks and meditation labyrinth offer a quiet place to simply be still. The yard is fully fenced, and the surrounding high desert landscape brings cool, breezy evenings and some of the clearest night skies around.

It is the natural gathering spot after a day of exploring, whether that means a movie night on the projector or a slow morning with coffee in hand. Two sleeper sofas here also offer flexible sleeping space for larger groups.

The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for everything from casual breakfasts to full group dinners, with a refrigerator that dispenses filtered water and ice, a dishwasher, and a Smeg drip coffee maker paired with fresh local coffee for easy mornings. The kitchen flows naturally into the home's dining space, making it easy to cook and gather together, and the outdoor dining table and propane BBQ extend the experience outside whenever the desert evenings invite you to eat under the stars.

Loma Vista sleeps 8 guests across three bedrooms plus additional living room sleeping space. Bedroom one and bedroom two each offer a queen bed, and the casita, a private bedroom three, offers a queen bed of its own along with a bit of extra separation for guests who want more privacy. The living room's two sleeper sofas round out the sleeping arrangements, making the home comfortable for larger groups. Smart TVs are featured in the living room and two of the bedrooms for cozy nights in. The home's full bathroom keeps things simple and comfortable, with a shower/tub combo that's easy to share among the group after a day spent out in the sun.

Loma Vista sits centrally between the towns of Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms, both known for their artist-driven galleries, laid back cafes, and small desert boutiques. Joshua Tree National Park is about a 25 minute drive to either the west or north entrance, offering some of the best hiking, rock scrambling, and sunset views in the region. The surrounding high desert landscape is expansive and quiet, dotted with Joshua trees, boulders, and wide open sky, and it sets the tone for the kind of trip where the scenery does a lot of the talking.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that the supply closet is locked and not accessible to guests, as it holds supplies for the rental.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area, rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

-Location and Dirt Roads-
Loma Vista is located in the remote area of Desert Heights in Joshua Tree. The property is accessible via a dirt road for approximately 3 miles, the bumpy drive is worthwhile when you see the picturesque views. SWhile the road is maintained and all vehicles can drive on the dirt road (4-wheel drive is not necessary), please take it slow to respect our neighbors and not kick up dust. Please note that the dirt roads may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms. The property is centrally located between Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms, a 25-minute drive to either the West or North entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, and a 20-minute drive to either Joshua Tree or Twentynine Palms shops, restaurants, and galleries.

-House Configuration-
Please note that the third bedroom is in a detached casita. The casita does not have an ensuite bathroom, so guests staying there will simply take a short walk back to the main house whenever they need the bathroom.

-Pool Heating Fee-
Should you wish to have the pool heated, up to 90 degrees, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance, as there is a supplemental fee of $100 per day to cover propane costs. Pool heating is available daily between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

-Hot Tub Heating-
There is no fee to heat the hot tub! It is kept heated for guests throughout your entire stay.

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The pool and hot tub are serviced every Tuesday. Our technician moves through the backyard quickly and guests rarely even notice, but we wanted to give you a heads up in case you see him during your stay. As a reminder, it is best to avoid the hot tub immediately after servicing while chemical levels settle, and we appreciate guests rinsing off any oils or lotions before getting in to help keep the water clean and clear.

-Pet Policy-
We're sorry to say that pets are not permitted at this home due to owners' allergies.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, and occasionally a bobcat during their stay, and while direct encounters with more elusive desert dwellers are rare, it's important to be aware of your surroundings and keep a safe distance from any wildlife you spot. The desert is also dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants, so for everyone's safety, please supervise children and pets closely while outdoors. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Camera-
There are exterior security cameras on the property monitoring the entry and grounds. There are no cameras located inside the home, and none facing the pool or hot tub area.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.

-House Rules & Policies-
Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and external speakers are not permitted; noise complaints during this window may result in a fine of at least $1,000. Smoking is not allowed inside the home or within 10 feet of the house, and any smoke residue will result in additional cleaning fees. Any locked closet on the property is off limits to guests, and forced entry may result in liability for any items unaccounted for. Photoshoots and video shoots require prior written permission; any unauthorized filming will result in a $5,000 violation and production fee. Parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited, out of respect for the safety and comfort of our guests and neighbors, and any violation will result in a $500 fine plus any fines incurred by the County of San Bernardino, and immediate termination of your reservation without refund. Any items left behind will be returned for a minimum shipping fee of $50, depending on destination.

-Late Check Out-
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
