Designed as a peaceful retreat for families and groups, this getaway offers scenic mountain views, quiet dirt-road seclusion, and the simple luxury of space to breathe. Wake to restful mornings, soak in the pool during the warm days, and enjoy endless skies in the hot tub at night, and the feeling of truly connecting with nature. Named after the eclectic collection of boats scattered across the property, Lakeview Lodge may not overlook a lake, but in the desert, imagination fills the horizon. Lakeview Lodge blends classic midcentury character with thoughtful modern updates. Original details like the brick fireplace ground the home in warmth and texture, while bright, open living areas and large windows throughout invite natural light and desert views into every room. The atmosphere strikes a balance between spacious and cozy, with soft, moody moments that feel perfect for slowing down. This is a home made for relaxation, reconnection, and stepping away from the noise of everyday life. The home offers several accessibility-friendly features designed to support guests with mobility needs, including a spacious walk-in shower and grab bars near the toilet. While the property is not ADA-compliant, we hope these thoughtful features provide added comfort for guests who may benefit from them. -Outdoor Amenities- Step outside to five fully fenced acres of open desert, where privacy and quiet define the experience. A brand-new in-ground pool and spa are perfectly oriented toward the southern mountain views, creating a serene setting for long afternoons in the sun. An antique gas firepit chimney anchors the outdoor space, ideal for evenings spent under the stars. With sweeping sunrises, glowing sunsets, and exceptional stargazing, the outdoors here invite you to unwind and feel immersed in nature. -Living Area- The living space is open, bright, and welcoming, designed for both gathering and quiet moments. One sitting area is set up for TV viewing, while a separate sitting space by the original brick gas fireplace offers a cozy place to relax. Large windows line every wall, filling the room with light and views. A custom wood bar is the perfect place to whip up drinks for your group, making the entire space feel connected and home, perfect for cozy nights after a day of exploring. -Kitchen & Dining- The brand-new open kitchen is modern, chef-friendly, and generously sized for cooking together. Outfitted with stainless steel appliances and a gas stove, it’s well suited for everything from casual breakfasts to full group meals. The kitchen flows directly into the dining area, where a table seats eight comfortably. Outside, you’ll also find an outdoor dining table for eight and a gas BBQ, extending meals into the desert air. -Bedrooms & Bathrooms- The home features three private, airy bedrooms, each furnished with a queen bed and blackout blinds or curtains for restful sleep. The primary suite includes an ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and grab bars by the toilet, spacious for those with mobility needs, a dedicated office area with a desk for remote work, and a sliding door that opens directly to the back patio. A second bedroom also offers direct outdoor access. The second bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower, creating a spa-like experience for guests. -Surrounding Area- Located near Joshua Tree National Park, Lakeview Lodge places you close to one of the most iconic desert landscapes in the country. Visitors can explore rugged hiking trails, dramatic rock formations, and breathtaking desert scenery. The nearby town of Joshua Tree is known for its artistic spirit, eclectic shops, local cafés, and laid-back desert charm. From outdoor adventures to creative inspiration, the surrounding area offers a perfect blend of expansive desert, mountain backdrops, and unique local experiences. -Amenity List- ► In-ground pool & spa (please note there's an additional fee to heat the pool during the cooler months, no fee to heat the hot tub. Pool only goes up to 85). ► Mountain-view outdoor space with antique gas firepit chimney ► Fully fenced five-acre property ► Outdoor dining table for eight and gas BBQ ► Original brick gas fireplace in the living room ► Smart TV in the living area ► Custom wood bar ► Fully stocked, chef-friendly kitchen ► Drip-coffee maker and French press ► Coffee from Joshua Tree Coffee Co. provided ► Dining table seating for eight indoors and outdoors ► High-speed Wi-Fi ► Central HVAC ► Washer and dryer A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. Please note that Lakeview Lodge is in a remote location, and the last 2.4 miles to the home are dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms. ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads in the area are dirt/unpaved. Please drive slowly and carefully. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is not required; however, roads may have ruts or uneven surfaces, particularly after rainfall. -Pool Heating Fee- If you’d like the pool heated to 85°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September. ► $250 per night *No fee to heat the hot tub!* -Pool Heating- Only one of the pool or hot tub can heat at once. If you wish to use the hot tub while the pool is heating, just note that the pool heating will turn off while the hot tub heats. Once the hot tub is turned back off, the pool heating will resume. -Hot Tub Heating- Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Dogs- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed. -Local Experiences: Relax, Adventure, Connect- We’ve handpicked an incredible selection of local vendors to enhance your Joshua Tree stay, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and everything in between. Whether you’re seeking relaxation with sound baths, yoga sessions, meditation guides, in-home massages, facials, aromatherapy or the convenience of a personal chef of caterer, you'll find options to elevate your experience. For thrill-seekers, explore rock climbing adventures, dune buggy rides, or horseback riding. Other unique experiences include guided stargazing tours under the breathtaking desert sky or guided hikes accompanied by mini donkeys! All vendor details are available in our guidebook upon booking, making it easy to craft your ideal getaway. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group.
