Welcome to Starship Landing: Two alien disco themed houses on 10 acres of otherworldly paradise, nestled right at the doorstep of the majestic Sand to Snow National Monument and just a cosmic hop away from the enchanting Joshua Tree National Park. Whether you're seeking a unique escape or a spaciously extraordinary gathering, these twin domiciles offer a celestial experience like no other.

☆ The Space ☆
With two distinct sister houses, Starship Landing promises a total of 6 bedrooms, as well as 3 other sleeping areas, providing plenty of room to accommodate up to 16 cosmic travelers. Each house features 3 comfortably appointed bedrooms, along with 3 additional sleeping spaces for the dreamers and stargazers among you.

Both houses offer well-equipped kitchens and dining rooms that are perfect for crafting celestial feasts or sharing stories over breakfast. The spacious living rooms beckon you to unwind, with cozy seating, funky decor, and panoramic views of the alien-inspired backyards.

Step outside into the extraterrestrial oasis, where you'll find two expansive backyards perfect for dancing under the stars or just soaking up the desert sun. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to complement the cosmic theme and starry skies overhead.

☆ Activities & Amenities ☆
At Starship Landing, the possibilities are as endless as the cosmos itself. Unwind in one of two hot tubs or cowboy tubs, where you can relax and gaze at the endless expanse of the universe. Gather around one of the two fire pits to share stories and roast marshmallows under the desert constellations.

Disco dance parties are a must, and silent disco headsets are available for you to dance well into the night (separate deposit required). With several disco themed rooms inside and out, there's no shortage of fun places to disco.

For the gamers, there's a pool table and a Mortal Kombat gaming console to test your skills. If you're in the mood for cinematic adventures, enjoy movies on the big screen using the projector and screen provided, complete with silent disco headsets for an out-of-this-world viewing experience.

Stay active with yoga sessions in the dedicated yoga room, or simply lounge in one of the hammock circles, taking in the cosmic surroundings. Step outside for some competition with outdoor games like giant Jenga, cornhole, and alien croquet.

Don't forget to visit Pioneertown, a movie-set-turned-old-western-town, offering a taste of the Wild West with modern amenities. ☆ Dogs ☆
Starship Landing welcomes your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

☆ Pool and Hot Tub Service ☆
The pool and hot tub are serviced Monday and Thursday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

☆ Cowboy Tub Cold Plunges for Winter ☆
The cowboy tubs remain active during the wintertime, offering the opportunity for a rejuvenating cold plunge! Bring your own ice if you'd like to use the cowboy tub as a cold plunge!

☆ Firewood for Indoor Fireplaces ☆
If you'd like to use the wood burning fireplace, please note we do not provide firewood. If you'd like to enjoy the fireplace, we recommend picking up bundles of firewood at a local grocery store or gas station in town.

☆ Guided Yoga or Meditation, Sound Baths, Massages, Personal Chefs ☆
Please reach out to us if you'd like recommendations for yoga instructors, guided sound baths, guided meditation, massages or personal chefs! Often times service providers are available come directly to the house.

☆ Photoshoots ☆

☆ About the Owners ☆
Matt and Kristi Kautz are from Santa Monica, CA. Matt is a VP at PlayStation, and Kristi is an interior designer. Their high desert story began with a shared obsession with Joshua Tree, exploring it together as often as they could until they finally decided to buy a place nearby of their own. When they came across two mid-century houses on ten pristine acres bordering protected land as far as the eye can see, they fell in love. Local legends of alien encounters and vortex fields on the property inspired them to transform the 50's houses into Starship Landing: a place for space, whether it’s physical, mental, or cosmic. Today, they couldn't be happier that they get to share this magical space with their guests.

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver

☆ Late Check Out ☆
Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
